glorious and epic two tracker vinyl for bosconi records, this time by our favourite detroit techno duo the oliverwho factory. we used to be big fans of their madd chaise works and latest rush hour and planet e were awesome, but that percussive sound was different from what we knew from their past. we wanted them to give another chance to their more jacked out musical side in memory of the two masterpieces (and bosconi soundsytem favourite waxes) those were >the rhythm< and >the rain 5th wave<, and so we proudly got another timeless, soulfull, spacey and futuristic techno anthem called >take me away< darryl with his magic hands has created an ultra effective combination of energetic and groovy pumpin kick with a tight funky bassline substaining an upbuilding layers of dreamy synths and stormy noises while the voice of lashone gives that unique colour and atmosphere to the track that all the oliverwho fans love, dictating their original trademark sound. on the flip, takin inspiration from tama sumo panorama bar mix samplin the ow, we got an upbeat version of their slowmotion gem called >together<, that this time, thanks to altered states re touch of darryl and shone has become a proper and fat techno arena bomb, now just for the pleasure of absolutely everybody. you wont miss it, for sure

the amen brother disco band step aside for vol. 3 for this 4 track ep of low slung house and psychedelic stoner disco. a man with a similar vision for finding those leftfield dancefloor oddities, he is constantly searching for psyche fused gems and regularly surfaces with a sound that is unique to him and always stand out fresh. sergio is associated with the site prejke.se and runs his own blog diskoakademin, both being a source for his music discovery and crate digging. check it out. big support from psychemagik.

memory is the new solo ep from wys! co owner and resident jacob husley.the originals warm atmosphere is broken up by a darker bass stab, a dreamy vocal floats on top of the underlying bouncy sub bass. the track builds and breaks finally dropping into a harder groove with busy 909 claps sprayed on top. glimpses remix strips the track down and adds his own trademark warm dusty kick drums and percussion. the vocal gets pitched down, resulting in one of those special tracks that can be dropped anytime guaranteed and tested to groove and get the dance floor moving.

oslo is happy to welcome new artist federico lijtmaer to the family with his wonderful ep impermanencia. inpermanencia on the a-side is a superb deep house track with the right kind of funkyness for the cool. federico combines smooth bass with shifty drums and classy synth action. this track will conjure a smile on your face and we are happy as hell to be able to release this little gem. unselfish on the b-side is as funky as its big brother on the flip-side. a throwback to bygone times in a way, if you consider labels as mosaic or trelik. however, federico definitely succeeded in terms of a modern interpretation. the inclined listener will recognize his musical roots anyway.

secluded bounds back onto soma with another double whammy of solid big room techno smashers. the glasgow based producer aka hans bouffmyhre is really hitting home with the new alias and finding solid ground on soma.

avian s 16th release is coming from alessandro cortini under the name skarn. best known for his work with trent reznor both in nine inch nails and how to destroy angels, the italian producer just recently made his debut on hospital productions with the hugely acclaimed * sonno* lp. his new project skarn sees cortini take a turn into more technoid driving soundscapes, which makes shifteds avian label the perfect fit for it. the ep features three tube driven noise workouts with a precise minimalism and a hypnotic drum pattern, which leads the way through the release.

following eomac’s debut album “spectre” on killekill, released earlier this year, here come remixes of the three most outstanding track sof the album. tommy four seven picked the title track spectre, taking away some of the dense texture of the original, speeding it up a bit and adding some straight-forward percussion to turn the original into a big anthem for the mellow moments on the dancefloor. lars stöwe aka anstam is using his anno stamm-alias to rip the distorted bassline of the grimey su riddim out and add some playful bassline variations and some serious 808 business to it to turn it into a peaktime banger with lots of chicago flavour. and do what they do best and turn shell of dark into a half-tempo stomper that after a while breaks up to a devastating weapon of distorted drums and melodies.

jel ford kicks off his return ep with two tracks of clean big room techno. the title track backyard is a moody affair with a low drone throughout that is complimented with layered synth stabs. using reverb to create atmosphere within the track it subtly breaks down before a vocal hook transcends the track to deliver a killer blow. meeting of minds is dubbier and uses a tripped out synth to add rhythm whilst working alongside a synth pattern to keep the track chugging along. the slow evolving pads add texture and keep the track nicely filled out whilst this timeless classic keeps on giving.

chronicles is a big techno / hard techno event in belgium. to celebrate this huge event in belgian history the promoters compiled this 2x12inch vinyl pack for all their fans. packed in a nice full colour artwork sleeve, this is a great reminder to a great event.

kazak sees swaab return to wrong state, presenting one of his most direct and intense workouts to date, following recent releases on voltaire music, push-push, jesus was black and recovery tech. grunting bass drives along one of his typically stomping grooves, metallic atonal synths giving the track an icy cool. subtle dashes of infectious percussion increase the tracks energy, with a big atmospheric break allowing some hypnotic fx to take centre stage. it is a heady, dark ride that carries a lot of weight without ever overbearing.

the love for music and vinyl were not only crucial factors that marius lehnert has established itself as a dj, but they are still the basics. through his residency at the infamous club rocker 33 stuttgart marius has received the first major attention. his last release on blufin got a big hype, not only becuase oft he remixes by egbert and fairmont. after a few releases more from marius lehnert he strated to produce with its buddy marc shepherd, first just for fun. but this 2 tracks made it on the new ep investigation of cavity, this time with a superb remix by roland m. dill.

up and coming portuguese producer lewis fautzi is quickly becoming a name to look out for in techno. championed by the likes of jeff mills and slam, fautzis hypnotic, tracky sound is much in demand. in may 2014 figure label founder len faki opened his boiler room berlin set with a new lewis fautzi production, the beatless intro vibes of >diagonal<, and thus a new ep was born on figure.
